| Bio: | I was born in a small seaside town in the south of England, where I spent many tedious years drinking cider and falling over in fields. It was not uncommon to encounter the odd shotgun-wielding farmer either. Then I left that drudgery for the magical land of the University of Wales Aberystwyth, where the world is aglow with unpronounceable words and low-level hostility. Despite this fact, it was a definite improvement. In that Welsh castle village I studied the dark arcane secrets of the English degree, uncovering the wonders of Shakespeare and surviving the perverted evil of restoration theatre. It was during this period that I ventured into the nearby forests and, having solved several riddles and battled the notorious glamfrog, I won the hand of a fair lady, which was very convenient as I didn't have a TV and now had something positive to do with my spare time. Sadly these days of uncommon happiness were to a come to an abrupt end. I entered a period of wandering, settling in a god-forsaken city back in the land of the Angles and the Saxons. It was here, wracked with temptation by the base inhabitants of this region, that I gave in to all my vices; SF and horror fiction (known commonly as the literature of the asylum), music of a loud and disturbing nature and drinks of the most unnatural colours. In exchange for longer life I contracted to write for an Internet site named SFcrowsnest, so that with my newfound additional years I could write my own works of lunatic fiction. It was at this point that I should have sought some kind of therapy, a treatment or cure for my disorder. Alas though, my willpower is not what it once was. Instead of a remedy I sought the poison still! I signed up for a membership to the World Science Fiction Convention. Pray for me my friends for my fate is sealed. | |||||
